Model student, son of bourgeois intellectuals, GIORGIO leads the normal ordinary life of a twenty-two years old. A life with no disagreements, at least in appearance. Then one evening he meets Francesco. A gambler, handsome and elegant, FRANCESCO exerts a mysterious, obscure charm on both men and women. Together, but never really in parallel, they travel along a painful troublesome way through their minds, in that fragile, mysterious time that separates youth from adults.
