Art critic and feminist icon, co-founder of the collective Feminine Revolt, since 1970 she revolutionized thought of women and on women, anticipating issues that are still relevant today and still extremely controversial and debated over. Her essays – Let’s spit on Hegel; The Clitoridean Woman and the Vaginal Woman – were, and still are, a bomb against patriarchy. Carla Lonzi, that, like many other women, remained outside official academia, is now at the center of a great rediscovery made by millenals and Gen Z, thanks to reprints of her works, exhibitions, but also through social network circulation.
