A blue avalanche swept every skiing competition during the seventies: the Italians were one of the best teams the sport remembers. It was the heyday of Italian skiing: between 1971 and 1975, the Azzurri eclipsed everyone. At the top were Gustav Thöni and Piero Gros. A team that went on winning 12 medals and 5 world cups. The documentary will tell the rise and fall of the Avalanche, the rivalries both internal and with a new talent conquering the scene: Ingemar Stenmark.
